More from High Point Market Fall 2022

High Point Market Furniture finds with wavy coffee table, custom bedding and lamps and ottomans.

There were so many things to look at during the fall furniture market at High Point. Things that were catching my eye: custom bedding options, fun upholstered ottoman clusters and wavy details in furniture, lighting and accessories.

There were lots of neutral colors and organic materials. These were mixed in with earthy pinks and oranges, dusty blues and backgrounds of papered walls.

Ottomand and Coffee Tables

These little workhorses came in clusters and layers. I love the design of the large upholstered ottoman with a coffee table layered over top of it. This is such a multi-tasker I can’t handle it! Perfect for small spaces too. And there there were the clusters of uniquely shaped upholstered ottoman! Easily move around for seperate use, or bunch together for a coffee table or bench effect. As seen in past years, but still a hit, the bunches of mini tables, used together for a larger coffee table and focal point.

Curvy and Wavy

Oh the happy curves I saw reminded me that we don’t have to take everything so seriously! Waves and curves found their way into tables, mirrors, and upholstered pieces, bedding trims and even lighting. Lots of fun ways to add this element into any room.

Wallpaper as a Background

I’m encouraged by all the wallpaper I saw at market. It’s such a useful tool to set the tone of the room and add texture and color. Even if it’s a subtle texture with neutral color, the design is enhanced by this basic layer that acts like a backdrop to the setting of the room.

Mostly I love seeing all the different viewpoints that designers are sharing by combining furniture, fabrics, wallpaper, lighting, accessories, and art. There is no one way to pull all these elements together and that’s the fun of interior design. Use what you love and be comfortable in your home.
